Eliot, Robotics Convention

The Robotics Convention
                                                   By Eliot

On one rainy but exciting morning, the Glenridge 5th grade got to a robotics convention. This was a once in a lifetime chance since this was the last time the convention was going to be in Saint Louis.

The 5th graders got on the bus and rode to the robotics convention at The America Center. When the 5th graders got there the kids in XL in the other grades were already there. Then the fifth graders divided into 16 groups of three or four students with one adult in each group. The adults handed out the lanyards to the 5th graders so they could get into the convention.

Once everyone entered the convention, all the groups went in different directions to look at different booths. Some groups went to see the robotics competitions. Clayton High School had a team called RoboHounds 4500. They had a booth in the pits where they showed the fifth graders how they built their robot. After the RoboHounds were done explaining, the groups had to leave to go back to school, Sara said" I was excited to see the RoboHounds", Adam said " It was fun and I got to learn a lot about robots", Liam W. said "It was nice to be in small groups", Ava Said " It was fun and I liked all the free stuff."

  1. Good job including small details like how many groups would be at the convention.
