I was falling asleep and I had a dream about people walking through the wall. I was very surprised and freaked out that actual people were walking through walls wait someone's calling my name I opened my eyes and saw my parents I told them instantly what happened in my dream both my parents looked worriedly at each other and then they said come on let's go on a walk. I got up and said what's wrong and they walked in the wall and then I knew that my dream was not a dream.

100 word challenge

I walked home with my hard rusty camera. I quietly slipped into my room and opened the door to my room. I was worried the camera would not work. I took out the camera, pushed my fingers on the trigger and took a picture of  a brown table, CLICK! I peered at the picture, surprised the table was not old but beautiful, it was shiny and spotless. I started looking at the cameras pictures and saw a video. It started playing, I instantly threw it in the trash can and knew why the owners before me threw it away.

At glenridge school all 5th graders went to esquire. All fifth graders got the opportunity to see hidden figures at the esquire.most said it was very inspiring.

Rhadi Smith said “ it was amazing it was the best movie of all times” and he really enjoyed it. Liam Winter had a different point of view “  I AM REALLY MAD BECAUSE I DID NOT SEE IT !!!” he was very upset about that.

In the future 5th graders will be able to see a educational movie as a field trip because all the 5th graders in 2016 - 2017 setted a good example on the esquire employes and hopefully they will have much fun.

Feb Blog: Hoops for Heart

Hoops For Heart

At glenridge school in 2017 , febuary 23 and 24 many kids got a chance to participate in hoops for heart.

Evelyn says “ it was amazing even though i did not get much shots i loved it”That shows she did like hoops for heart. Usually kids enjoy it because the more money they raise for hoops for heart the more prizes they get.

Hoops for heart is a program to raise money. PE gives you a chance to do that. They make it fun by doing basketball to make you energetic and you have to shoot as many hoops as you can in 2 minutes.

Many kids have enjoyed this program and this is way to help many others with the money people raise. Hopefully in the future they will accomplish this goal.

Ski Trip by Stella

Ski Trip

On January 12 2017 all 5th graders from Clayton went on a ski trip for 1 day at hidden valley.

Many people thought skiing was fantastic but some did not sara said Yes , because it was an interesting experience and it was fun! But Rhadi had a totally different point of view No, because it wasn’t fun,it was hard and i kept falling down.

Skiing you use skis and you have poles, but when you start if you don't use poles. You had to go through 7 stations like learning how to walk up a hill with skis on or learning how to ski.

Slide Shock

At Glenridge school November 16 2016 many people were gathered around the slide.Everybody touching each others finger.They were formed in a half circle.Someone slides down the slide and shocks the first person's finger and it makes a loud cracking noises, it was the shock going through everybody's finger.

This all started by Samone “ she wanted to test it out to see if her idea would work” says katie, “the shock only tingled”  “ it did not hurt much only a little bit” says Additi.

Whenever there were too much people the shock did not work. It worked by someone sliding down the slide gathering momentum and they also gather electricity then everybody else who is participating stands in the circle the person sliding down the slide halts and touches the first person's finger and the electricity the person who was going down the slide gathered  he/she touches the finger and the electricity goes into everybody's finger.Many people will probably do this again in the future.

SCHOOL PHOTOS RETURNED

At Glenridge school students got back their photos from picture day. Some people's looked good, some looked fine some looked not so good.

Most students said their photos looked bad. At that time when everybody got their photos back there were a lot of commotion in that room. Madeline said “ Looked like I was photo shopped” she also said “No, my picture is not good” . katie has a different side of the story “Yes, I think my photo looked great, my dress matched the background”.  “It was ok”. Claims Christian.

On October 27 2016 is retake day at Glenridge school.  That is when you retake your picture if you and your family think it is not the best. When everybody got their photos back immediately everyone started talking about their picture most of the people in that classroom did start talking when they got their photos back.In 2017 the same thing probaly will be the same, everyone talking about their photos.

This is one of the many things students talk about at Glenridge school.

STOLEN AND BROKEN

On September 18th 2016, in St.Louis in Compton Heights

Allen Avenue something was stolen and broken.

At the Bishop family’s house, someone broke into Mr. Bishop's car. The person who to break in broke the window in the backseat of a car and stole a camera & the lenses.

This could have happened in the middle of the night or in the morning. There were shards of glass near the window everywhere. Police came when crime scene found.They checked for fingerprints but found nothing.  “No fingerprints” said the policewoman.

Possibly when the crime happened when the Bishop family came back from the park from watching a movie. It also could have happened when they left for the park.

But either way the criminal was unfounded.  Since they did not find any fingerprints it probably means that the criminal was wearing gloves.
