 Robotics field trip

So first we went on the bus and the whole ride there we were singing bus songs and asking people to dab for us. So after we got off the bus we went inside and looked at robots and how they made them and then we started collecting buttons like pens and we got a bunch of them. And then we went and seen the clayton robotics group and we were in lyrics grandma group and she took a lot of pictures so then we went and went to the other robotics room and this team made a robot that trains horses and then we went and seen a little bit of robotics battle and it was red team vs blue team and red team won and then we went to leave and it was a little bit of rain then alot so we ran to the bus soaking wet and then we left

So one day there was two kids nia and lea and they were looking for something to do and then they found a wall and then they went inside it was so cool there were so many things kid would love but the thing was that all of the rides were closed because no one ever went on them so they opened all the rides and played forever.

Hidden figures  

On thursday it was a early release and that was the day we were going to the theater to see hidden figures we were going to be the only people at the theater and after specials we got on the bus to see the movie when the movie came on it started with the three main characters and they broke down in the middle of the road and a police came took them to work when they got there they did their work and people did not like that there was a colored lady in the workplace they worked and then when the boss found out that they put a sign on another tea cup for her so she wouldn't touch the same one they touched and she had to go to another building to use the restroom he changed all of that. The movie was a really good movie and when we got back we talked about the movie and the last day of school that day was a very fun day.

He had went to the zoo and took a pictures of a beautiful animal and when I went home something came out of the camera at first I thought I was dreaming but I wasn't a sleep so I was freaking out he told me he was a genie and I wished for everything and the genie was my only friend.

My name is Lillian I just about to go to work and I was about to go to work and then I had to take my

little sister to school. Then I had to get breakfast and I did this every day every week after I got breakfast I went to Starbucks to get all my workers coffee because they never get breakfast and then today I got into traffic I was on the highway for 1 hour. Then my manager asked me to look up what is a blobfish today.So that is why I'm always last.

The ski trip was very fun. The first thing we did is put on our ski shoes.After that we went out and we went to the lady to tell us what to do if we had a problem. So after we listen to the lady tell us what to do. A man went and guided us up the hill. When we were up the hill. He told us to go over to station 4. So we all went to station 4 and they were teaching us how to go down slopes and hills. When we got there if we did not get down the hill without falling. Then we had to go all the way to the top and do it again. For some people it took them three times.

So after you done with station 4 you go to station 5 and it is the same as station 4 but just a higher hill and you have to go through cones. Also the hill is higher so it is harder to go through the cones because you are going faster. And to go up to the top of the hill you have to go up on the elevator thing so you can go to the top. So you could just go down the hill or go through the cones. But the cones will get you to the other station just going down the is for fun. So most people past that level. So if you past that level than you go to station 6 and station six is the last level. And station 6 is basicly the same thing as 5. It,s just that station 6 hill is a little steeper.

Station 6 is the last station and this station is hard because how steep the hill is and you have to go through cones and sense it was hard to ski through cones in the first place it is hard now. And the snow was fake so is was going to be faster and harder to control. So after you were done skiing on station 6 then you can go and ski

wherever you want to go skiing but if you are yellow you can go on one hill if you are purple then you can go on two hills.

A Long Walk To Water book

                          A Long Walk to Water

So Mrs.Barnes read the class a book called A Long Walk to Water. And the is about two people and one person’s life in the book is real. The character’s are Salva and Nya and salva life is about a boy and his separated from his family. And salva was in a group and left him. But he found the group but they still felt like he wasn't useful to the group. And then he found his Uncle. So nya story is about how she goes for like 12 miles to get water and her sister gets ill and the reason Nya’s sister is ill because she is drinking dirty water. And she doesn't care if it was clean or dirty water because she is so thirsty. And it is hard for her to wait for 10 minutes because of how long it takes them to get water every day. When salvas group found his uncle they thought he was the leader of the group because he had a gun and he wasn't treated like they did not like he did not belong there. After they found Salva his best friend died and then some Rebels came and took all of their goods and killed their Uncle it was sad and then when he was 19 he found his father.

Sugar Skulls by Breyanna

                                                       5B Sugar Skulls

When the fifth graders went to Spanish and they saw other kids from fifth grade doing sugar skulls and they knew they were going to do it too.So the Spanish teacher said, “So as you can see you’re doing  skulls but there is not enough sugar for the whole class.   So we will have some of the class do it today and the next time the other part of the class will do it the next time you come here.”  Sugar skulls are little balls of sugar shaped into a skull and they are edible.  They are part of Day of the Dead tradition.  So she split half of the class up to do sugar skulls and they were doing that while the other half colored a little.  The next day they did it again but switched groups.  Most of the kids in fifth grade did the icing on their skulls.  The sugar skulls are a fun activity for the fifth graders because they are fun to make and fun to eat.  This year the students were told NOT to eat them, because there could be germs on the skulls.  And the skulls were extra large.     Quinn, a fifth grader, said, “It was good decorating and making them.”  Sugar skulls sound pretty fun to make and something students will always remember.

            Juggling

In October, in PE class, the fifth grade students at Glenridge were learning juggling.   So first they did warm ups and then they watched a video.  The video was showing the students how to juggle with scarves.  Once they had seen that, they got three scarfs to practice.   The reason they used scarfs is because they are lighter than a ball.  So there were two ways to do it.  The first way to do it is to throw two scarves in the air and then the other one.  Or the hard way to do it is to throw the scarves to the sides.  Then the next day they did cubes and it was a little hard for some people and easy for others.  The day they started the juggling with the cubes,  Mr. Hutson,  the PE teacher, showed the students how to do it.  They did not have an enough cubes to juggle so the students just used yarn balls.  They were harder to do than the cubes but it looked fun.  The next day they watched a video and they did all of it together, scarves and cubes at once,  and it was fun.

5B buddies

The fifth graders of 5B were introducing our self and we met our buddies. The class that is our buddies were in was in Mrs.Sieve class and one of the kids buddies name was Caroline and she had two buddies because there were too many people in 5B so they read this dog book and she read a good book and she was really nice and then we had to leave so we hugged or high fived our buddies and 5B buddies had to leave but I know I had a good time with my buddie.
