Valentine's Day, Eliot

Valentine's Day

It was a nice evening on February 14, 2017 at Glenridge Elementary and the 5th graders were finishing up reading workshop so they could have their Valentine’s party.

Once the 5th graders finished cleaning up, they lined up to go to the Gym because that is where the 5th graders were having their party. Once 5th grade got to the Gym each class was assigned to a station to play at.

There were 4 stations: stacking candy hearts where the 5th graders got to see who can stack the highest. At the second station, the 5th graders did the cake walk but for lollipops where the 5th graders walk in a circle and then when the music stops Mrs. Miller would pull a number from 1 to 15 and whoever was standing on that number got a lollipop. At the third station, the 5th graders made bubble gum machines with a plastic sphere that holds gumballs then we put the spheres on a cup and then the 5th graders could eat the bubble gum.  At the last station, the 5th graders got to decorate cupcakes with different kinds of frosting and sprinkles, and got to color bookmarks.
After the 5th graders were done with all the stations, they danced to music. Then everyone went back to their classrooms for dismissal.
